A friend bought this dvd in HK recently. Apparently the billboards around the cty are covered with promotions for the film. Not a simple story, complicated real life and based on some of the true life experiences of the writer. It’s not simply a ‘gay’ love story but as a reviewer stated:
“Permanent Residence explores, in complete abandon and full nudity, the life story of a young man who pursues an impossible love with his straight boyfriend and contemplates on the mortality of his loved ones.
